Yupi

In Natalia Alekseevna Sukhanova's book "Yuppie", two unseen creatures of extraterrestrial origin live under one cover: one with a luxurious multi-colored tail – from the novella "The Tale of Yuppie", the other, resembling a prehistoric reptile – from the novella "The Foundling". Amusing, and sometimes incredible, adventures happen to each of them, from which one's breath is taken away. Both encounter different people: more often kind and intelligent, sometimes intelligent but not very kind, and sometimes completely unkind. Both creatures – Yuppie and Zavrya – are so trusting and defenseless that at times it becomes frightening for them: will they be able to coexist on planet Earth with humans?
Yuppie tries to comprehend important truths: who am I, where am I from? Why, for what purpose do I live on Earth? He learns that intelligent people have created the Red Book, in which they record endangered animals. Yuppie decides to find the Red Book to see if there are any entries about him and his relatives. The author entrusts the secret of Yuppie's origin only to a child – a boy named Erik. And so, one fine day, an alien ship with Yuppies lands in the city. People rejoice and call Yuppie and his fellow tribesmen brothers in mind. But Yuppie is perplexed. Why do you have to be an alien to be called a brother in mind? Are other inhabitants of Earth, who live side by side with people, less beautiful and intelligent than aliens?
Zavrya, the hero of the book "The Foundling," belongs to the lineage of lizards that inhabited Earth in prehistoric times. When the extinction of lizards became irreversible, aliens from other systems saved Zavrya's ancestors, and returned their distant descendant back to Earth. But, if not for the curious brothers Gleb, Vova, and Ivasik, and their sister Lily, with their kind hearts open to everything new and amazing, it is unknown how Zavrya's future would have turned out.
Both stories are cheerful and at the same time informative. And they will certainly lead the young reader to serious reflections on human responsibility for everything that exists on Earth, and on what we should be like so that the entire animal kingdom does not migrate to the Red Book in the coming decades.
