The Secret of the Burnt-Down Cottage. Book 1

A genuine crime has occurred in the village of Peterswood! Someone set fire to Mr. Hick's garden cottage. Five neighboring children are not going to wait for the local policeman, nicknamed "Move Along Now," to solve the case, so they form a detective club. Along with their dog, the kids follow the criminal's trail, but there turn out to be too many suspects.
