This is a story about a Lighthouse Keeper who plays the ukulele, grows corals, talks to dolphins... and one day notices a mysterious spot in the sea. What is it – the shadow of a pirate sail? A stingray? A waterspout? Or all of the above? The Keeper decides to find out the truth and save the sea.
The book is aimed at primary school children – and adults who love atmospheric stories. It's a warm and very touching fairy tale about friendship, courage, and caring for nature. The book tells how one person's indifference can be the beginning of big changes.
Writer Nika Svesten is a laureate of the All-Russian competition for the best work for children and youth "Kniguru", a finalist of the E. Uspensky "Big Fairy Tale" award, and a winner of the Sergey Mikhalkov Literary Competition and the "Korneychukov Award".
