Deadly Whiteness

Billy clearly has mental health issues, but he is convinced that he witnessed a child's murder when he was young – and a long-standing anxiety finally brings him to the office of private detective Cormoran Strike, who has once again found fame after catching the Shacklewell Ripper. Billy doesn't manage to finish his story, spooked by the prospect of the police arriving soon, but his tale stays in Strike's mind. Attempts to get to the bottom of the truth will lead Strike and his assistant Robin Ellacott (who has become a full partner in their agency) down a complex, winding path: from fringe clubs where opponents of the London Olympics gather, to the intrigue-ridden corridors of power, from parliamentary offices to a mysterious estate deep in Oxfordshire... But it remains to be seen what will be more difficult for Cormoran and Robin – solving this intricate puzzle or sorting out their own feelings...
