This collection of fairy tales features lesser-known Ukrainian folk stories, which makes it particularly valuable. The tales are short, have engaging plots, and teach children life values by passing down the wisdom of generations. Can small creatures stand up to large and strong ones? How can wit save a life? Why is hungry freedom better than well-fed captivity? These and other important questions are answered in the texts of these folk tales.
