The Adventures of Tintin: The Broken Ear

A robbery has been committed at the Ethnographic Museum – a wooden idol of the Arumbaya tribe has been stolen. However, the very next day, the statuette is found back in its rightful place. Tintin has no doubt – a fake has been returned to the museum. The original was missing a small fragment from its ear, while the returned deity has a whole ear. In pursuit of the stolen statuette, Tintin boards a steamer heading to South America. A pair of gangsters, who are also after the statuette, trick him ashore, and Tintin gets caught up in a whirlwind of revolutionary events. Power here constantly changes hands, and oil companies are pushing the Republic of San Teodoros into war with neighboring Nuevo Rico. Tintin barely escapes and ends up on the Badurayal River, where the Arumbaya – the fiercest tribe in South America – live. Tintin realizes that the solution must be found there...
