Undoubtedly, one of the most magical encounters with fairy tales occurs when we discover the works of Pavel Bazhov. His astonishingly colorful, succinct and wise Ural tales, sparkling with gold, silver, and precious stones, have captivated generations. "The Silver Hoof" is perhaps the lightest, most elegant, and at the same time, most profound story of them all. This unique book combines and enhances the talents of the author and artist.
Under the brush of St. Petersburg artist Mikhail Bychkov, Pavel Bazhov's fairytale Ural Mountains became visible and real in a multitude of details and particulars – and yet remained magical and mysterious!
