Tintin and Snowy, Captain Haddock, and Professor Calculus are flying on Flight 714 from London to Sydney for the International Astronautical Congress, where they have been invited as honored guests for being the first to conquer the Moon. During their last layover at Jakarta Airport, they meet the famous aircraft manufacturer, oil well owner, and billionaire Laszlo Carreidas – "the man who never laughs." He is also heading to the congress in Sydney, and since he loves playing Battleship during flights, he makes Captain Haddock and his friends an offer they can't refuse – inviting them to join him. But no sooner do they take their seats on board the brand new triple-engine business jet "Carreidas 160" than Tintin realizes that strange things are happening and they need to be on their guard...
