The New Adventures of Shustrik and Tishka

The heroes of Erwin Moser's first book, the restless, resourceful inventor Shustrik and the cautious, polite Tishka, were so loved by children that a second book about their new adventures was born.
Every day the friends are filled with interesting activities. They turn a turtle into an island, make a corn-mobile out of a cob, get caught in a snowstorm, and save a thistle bush.
There's no end to the resourceful mice's inventions: they hang an old shoe from a balloon instead of a dilapidated basket, make a rocking bed with planks from an old barrel, and chop up a dilapidated hut for firewood.
Simple text and clear illustrations are on the same page – the child simultaneously listens to and looks at the story.
