Sometimes a pine cone or mushroom can get lost in the forest. But for an entire tree hollow to disappear—that's unprecedented! And who would have thought it would happen to the tree hollow of the grumpy squirrel Varvara? Perhaps someone harbored a grudge against her? Or was it her hoard of fifty, a hundred, or even a million nuts that attracted them? Or perhaps moose have started climbing trees?
