At the invitation of Professor Calculus, Tintin and Captain Haddock fly to Syldavia and, directly from the airport, find themselves at the Atomic Research Center, nestled in the Scura Mountains. There, to their surprise, they learn that Professor Calculus is working on creating an atomic engine for humanity's first-ever manned space flight. But the most astonishing news is yet to come: it turns out the Professor intends to fly to the Moon himself! Moreover, he asks Tintin and Captain Haddock to accompany him on this journey. The friends begin preparations for the flight, but not everything goes smoothly. And then, secret data leaks, making it clear that, despite the strictest security measures, a traitor is operating within the Center!
