"Cars All Around" is an incredibly detailed wimmelbook, packed with storylines, focusing on cars and racing vehicles, trucks and semi-trucks, buses and trains, various special purpose vehicles, tractors, airplanes, helicopters, boats, and a great multitude of other machines and mechanisms that drive, fly, and float.

The book tells the story of one day in the lives of two dozen main characters – all of whom need to be found on each spread of the book. Some of them walk, some travel by car, but their paths constantly cross, and their storylines intertwine, forming a single narrative.

No matter where our heroes are, life around them is bustling. We see them at a busy city intersection, then at an amusement park, then at a car rally, then at a film studio, then on an evening embankment. Journalists Bob and Rob are always at the center of events: here they are reporting on a fire extinguishing, and here they are at the scene of a car accident; here they are interviewing a stuntman at a car show, and here an actor at a film studio. The dog Charlie never misses an opportunity to snatch a sausage – either stealing it from builders taking a break or begging for it from his owner or a sympathetic passerby. Postman Victor spends the whole day delivering parcels in his postal van, pizza delivery driver Antonio cruises on his moped, and tourists Alice and Felix are used to walking with backpacks on their shoulders.

An attentive reader will find dozens of amusing and heartwarming stories in this book! By examining wimmelbooks, which are books without words, children develop observation skills, learn to see and notice details, trace logical connections between events, and independently create stories based on pictures.

A wimmelbook is a book for all ages. The youngest children enjoy looking at bright large objects, older children eagerly complete tasks to find characters on each spread, and the most advanced readers (including adults) notice the smallest details and find "artist's jokes" without which no wimmelbook is complete.
