This book includes two fairy tale plays by S. Marshak for very young children: "The Cat's House" and "The Teremok." This remarkable children's poet wrote these tales based on Russian folklore, the Russian folk tale "The Teremok" and the popular old children's song "Tili-bom! Tili-bom! The Cat's House Caught Fire..." S. Marshak brought much of his own originality to the plots of his works, the characters, and even invented new ones.
