A book about cars

Although this book was published when the grandparents of today's little ones were small themselves, it is still the most widely read picture book in the world for children aged 3-6. In addition to its brilliant illustrations, it provides young readers with a vocabulary of useful terms and explains how many of the mechanisms around them are designed and work. And the scenes, characters, and situations are so engaging that it's impossible to put down.

Real cars, tractors, and buses coexist in the book with funny automobiles; for example, you can find names like "crocodile car" or "banana car."
