The Hobbit

John Ronald Reuel Tolkien is a writer, poet, philologist, Oxford University professor, and the progenitor of modern fantasy. "The Hobbit" was written in 1937, and in the mid-1950s, the three books of "The Lord of the Rings" were published, telling the story of Middle-earth – a world inhabited by magical races with complex cultures, histories, and mythologies.
In subsequent years, these novels were translated into all world languages, adapted for film, animation, audio plays, theater, computer games, comics, and spawned a mass of imitations and parodies.

  Ekaterina Dobrokhotova-Maykova is a Russian translator, best known for her translations of C.S. Forester, Neal Stephenson, Greg Egan, and Hilary Mantel.
