"Vacation in Prostokvashino" – the second part of the animated saga about the village of Prostokvashino – was released in 1980. The events in the cartoon do not unfold exactly as in the novella "Uncle Fyodor, His Dog and His Cat," but Oleg Tabakov's wonderful, unique voice forever became the calling card of Matroskin the cat. This time, Uncle Fyodor's dad and mom go to a seaside resort, and the boy runs away from them to Prostokvashino to spend time with his friends. But in the end, even his mother understands the charm of village life.
