Idiot

"The main idea," wrote F. M. Dostoevsky about his novel "The Idiot," "is to portray a positively beautiful man. There is nothing more difficult than this in the world…" Was it not for this that the writer presented "Prince Christ" to the world, so that we would not forget: "Suffering is the main and perhaps the only law of human existence."
Each new generation perceives classics in its own way and tries to give its own answers to the eternal questions of being. This is evidenced by the well-known film adaptations of the novel and its stage versions. In Russia, memorable portrayals of Prince Myshkin were created by Yu. Yakovlev, I. Smoktunovsky, and E. Mironov.
