Every winter, the residents of a small village by the lake hear a loud crunching sound at night. They know it's a monster coming to the shore to feast on ice floes. Everyone has gotten used to it and is almost unafraid. But one day, a girl named Rosna saw through her window how the monster pulled a star from the sky and devoured it! And then a second one... Rosna realized: to stop the monster from stealing stars from the sky, she had to offer it something tastier. Like popsicles! Soon, all the villagers, having learned of the unusual occurrence, began taking turns preparing the delicacy for the monster. And then one evening, after New Year's, Rosna didn't hear the usual crunching sound...For preschool children.
