An amazing tale about a robot named Roz, who ends up on a desert island. The story begins with a shipwreck. A ship caught in a storm sinks with its cargo — numerous boxes meticulously packed with hundreds of robots. Gradually, the debris is washed ashore by waves onto an island lost in the endless waters. All the boxes crashed against the coastal rocks, but one survived and ended up on the beach. Curious sea otters found it. Studying the box and playing with it, they unpacked its contents and... Click! The robot came to life.

Roz opened her eyes and looked around. She was on an island. She didn't know how she got there, why she was there, or what to do. But she understood that she needed to learn to survive. Roz is an assistant robot; she is capable of incredibly fast learning, analyzing, and applying her new skills. Gradually, she realizes that it is very important to make friends with the local inhabitants, the numerous and diverse animals. But how can she do that if they are afraid of her?

Ultimately, Roz managed to learn the language of animals, find a family and friends, and understand the meaning and purpose of her existence. And also... she became the best mother to a little gosling named Brightbill.

"The Wild Robot" is an unexpected book from beginning to end. It is very touching, humane, and kind. Roz's story has already been translated into 20 languages. The book is suitable for children aged 6 and up, and adults who adore touching and kind stories.
